Last week, employees of Kube GmbH gathered for their first internal karting event. In addition to competitive spirit and driving skills, the event focused particularly on fostering cross-location and cross-departmental interaction as well as the shared experience.
After receiving professional instruction from track staff on the rules, safety, and driving techniques, the participants took their places at the starting line. The approximately 600-meter-long, technically demanding track—featuring fast straights, tight turns, and S-curves—required concentration, precision, and quick reflexes. Numerous overtaking opportunities led to fair battles for position and kept the race exciting from start to finish.
The race consisted of 20 laps and lasted about 30 minutes. As the race progressed, many participants steadily improved their lap times. Particular attention was focused on the battle for the day’s fastest lap, which ensured a tight field and sustained excitement throughout the entire race.
Afterward, everyone involved gathered to reflect on the race together. In addition to the athletic competition, the event provided an opportunity for personal conversations and exchanges across teams.
The winner of the race received an engraved trophy. The event vividly demonstrated how team spirit, dedication, and shared experiences strengthen team cohesion — values that also shape our daily work.
A continuation of the format is already in the works and is set to take place on a regular basis in the future.
