SIL and System Test Engineer

K3 Systementwicklung GmbH is a specialized Engineering Company based in Plochingen (near Stuttgart), Baden-Württemberg. As a Provider of Engineering Services in the Field of electrical Engineering and Information Technology, the Company focuses on the Development of innovative Embedded Systems, both in Hardware and Software. The Range of Services includes a wide Range of Development Tasks, in particular the Creation and Implementation of Test Cases in the SIL Test Framework as well as their continuous Care and Maintenance. To ensure complete Validation, System Tests of the entire System are also carried out directly on the Machine. This Results in a high Level of Test Coverage, which guarantees reliable Validation of the Software in real-life Use.

To strengthen our Development Team in Plochingen we are looking for a

SIL and System Test Engineer

Your Tasks:

Capturing and analyzing System and Software Requirements
Development, Maintenance and Expansion of the SIL Test Framework
Creation, Execution, and Documentation of Tests within the SIL Test Framework as well as directly on the Machine
Close Collaboration with the Development Department to troubleshoot and improve Software Quality
Customer Communication, with on-site Presence if required by the Customer

Your Profile:

Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related Field
In-Depth Knowledge in at least one High-Level Programming Language (e.g., Python, C, or C++)
Experienced in common Tools for Version Management (e.g., Git) and for Test Documentation (Azure Devops Test Plan)
Analytical Thinking, structured Way of Working and strong problem-solving Skills
Courage and Willingness to learn the Operation of complex Machines
Business-Level German and Proficient English Skills
